Born in 1855 in Louisville, KY. Graduated from Louisville Medical College in 1884. Moved to Salt Lake City in 1894 where he practiced general medicine from 1884 to 1914. He became the first orthopedic surgeon in Utah. He worked at the Primary Children's Hospital, LDS Hospital and was a member of the University of Utah Board of Regents, as well as a consulting surgeon at the Utah State Hospital. Baldwin died in 1944. Album contains photographs of Baldwin, Primary Children's Hospital, orthopedic techniques, newspaper clippings, etc. |
