Topaz was an internment camp located near Delta (Utah) during World War II.
The collection contains photographs of the story of the Included are photographs of residents who were living in California and transported to Topaz, Utah. Destruction of property before and after the war, temporary relocation in Tanforan, the move to Topaz, life within the camp, camp closure and return to "homes" are documented in the collection. Ken Verdoia of KUED acquired the photographs for his documentary on Topaz and donated the collection to the Division of State History when he had completed his project.
