Abstract:Salt Lake City, Utah was settled on 24 July 1847 by Mormon pioneers led by Brigham Young. At a general gathering of the pioneers on 22 August 1847, it was moved and seconded to call the city the City of the Great Salt Lake or Great Salt Lake Ctiy, thus acknowledging the great body of salt was to the west. The "Great" was deleted on 29 January 1868. These invoices are issued as an official building permit for a variety of actions (construction, demolition, the installation of plumbing, electrical, or mechanical equipment, and the erection of signs or barricades). They may also be used for the payment of fees for application to the Board of Adjustment (Zoning) or Housing Appeals Board. Since 1977, the records have been on computer. These invoices include invoice number, applicant's name and address, date, cost center and object code (since 1977), amount, a brief description of work or Board case and site.
